How long can chicken pox be infectious for?

DS caught chicken pox from DD 10 days ago. He was covered in spots which have all scabbed over except two (one on hip and one on foot). Both spots are fairly small but definitely have a head on them. Anyone know the maximum amount of time it might take for them to scab over? After DD as well I'm starting to go slightly insane being stuck in the house.

They have to be all scapped over, but from the sounds of it I don't think it should be much longer.
Hope you manage to get out soon.
