I seem to remember with my first child being pointed in the direction of an ongoing reflux thread but I could be imagining it!
Either way any reflux in babies fellow sufferers or advisers please drop in.
My DS2 (now 15w) has been on ranitidine since he was about 6 weeks old with a gradually increasing dose (currently 0.8ml 3 times a day). He's not really being sick much anymore but still gets a lot of wind, foams at the mouth, has really rubbish daytime naps and seems uncomfortable quite often. He also makes lots of choking and growling noises which are rather disconcerting. He sleeps ok at night but I think that's because we co sleep and I feed him to sleep. He has terrible cradle cap, not sure if that's relevant.
He is EBF but I think I'm going to have to introduce formula soon as I have a couple of days work coming up that logistically I can't express for (will be two long days and staying in a hotel without fridge, steriliser etc Dh will be looking after him whilst I work). I'm a bit nervous about this though as even I have given up dairy.
I have so many questions but I don't think my rotating locum of a GP surgery is that well informed on it. Questions such as how long should we be giving him ranitidine for, does the fact he's stopped possetting so much change things, should I be thinking about special formula or trying standard first... And many other questions. Wondering too if I should ask for a referral for a Paediatrician.
Sorry about the rambling thoughts but any help, advice or shared moaning welcome.
