What with all this talk of child's weight/height I've discovered DS2 is showing as very underweight!

I've never really weighed or measured my children post the usual HV checks, DS1 is under a dietician anyway as part of a medical package, his condition means he's likely to suffer with poor weight gain so I know all about his stats.

However, what with all the talk of weight and children going on here atm, I decided to have an experiment and weight and measure all 3 kids (I didn't make a big deal out of it at all btw)

DS2 has come up as having a bmi of 12 and is showing as really underweight. He's 8 and he's always been on the small side but now I'm worried that I should be getting this checked out or something?

DS 3 (toddler) is on the low side of normal for bmi and as I say DS1 is holding his own through a carefully prescribed high fat diet.

They all eat healthily, we don't really restrict anything food wise, they all have treats but not many and they all eat a good variety of foods and they all eat what I would call normal child sized portions, they never moan about being hungry, all 3 are active as you'd expect from 3 young children.

Should I be worried about DS2?

You didn't post the heights and weights of your children, so I can't check your BMI calculations. Post them, or use this calculator: www.nhs.uk/tools/pages/healthyweightcalculator.aspx and select "Child"; are they still underweight using this?
