But worried about my 3 month old. My daughter had pox about 3 weeks ago. We were due to go away but has to cancel and rearrange for when she was better. We are now away and my 3 month old has just come down with it. He has a nasty cough which has been there for a good 2 weeks and just won't go he literally goes red and chokes trying to bring up mucus. Obviously I'm away staying with family and due to fly home on weds obviously I won't be flying but needed advice on wether I should call my dr and see if they can help over the phone with ideas on how to make him more comfortable or wether to try take him to a walk in centre over here (only in Northern Ireland) in case he has pox on the lungs or chicken pox im such a worrier that I worry about everything!! Especially when it comes to my children.

This is my first post so sorry if I've babbled!

Ah meant chest infection! Not the "pox on lungs and chicken pox"

Gosh, I'm usually very blase about health stuff, but I'd definitely call to see a doctor about such a young child with chicken pox compounded by a cough like that.

No one will think you're over reacting at all.

I too would see a doctor. And I say this as someone whose DS caught CP at one week old! He's now 9 and never had it again though.

Thankyou for your replies will try get him seen. I'm sure my mother in laws drs surgery will let me see a dr or at least send one out to see him, if not will take him to a walk in centre just worry with him being contagious. X

Honestly, don't worry at all.

With such a young child, they'll be falling over themselves to see him.
