Help! My 22 month old is crying because she's been trying unsuccessfully to do a poo for the past hour. She isn't normally constipated, though I occasionally give her prunes or pear is she hasn't been for. A day.is there anything I can do now to help her? She's so upsetHmm

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Poor thing. My ds used to get very upset with this.

Orange juice and wholemeal bread worked for us.

I've been told any fruit starting with P is good, also lots of liquids.
In the morning ask GP to give you some lactulose or movicol which will help future poo's & stabilise the bowel.

Thank you both! We do the 'p' fruits, but I realised she hasn't drunk much water today - I will try orange juice tomorrow morning
