Should I be concerned that my 7 week old suddenly seems more interest in the room and his surroundings and I can't get his attention for love nor money?

Mine was like this. He had no interest in me or dh at all. We'd talk to him, sing, anything to try to get him to look at us but nothing.

He's 11 weeks now and has started making eye contact and smiling/laughing but still only when he wants to though!

Seven weeks is still very young. I think it's quite normal.
