2 months old and teething??

So my DD is 2 months old today - for the last couple of days she has been trying to put her fist in her mouth and chewing on it. She has a red bum, disgusting nappies, teasey at night and I'm sure I can feel something along her gum line. I understand these can all be signs of teething but is this possible at only 2 months?

Yes, it's certainly possible to get a first tooth at two months. On the other hand, you might find (as I did) that the symptoms persist on and off for several weeks before a tooth actually appears!

Sounds like normal baby behaviour to me. Unlikely to be teething at that age. Not impossible but highly unlikely.

DS's first two teeth came through at four months and I think he was suffering for a good while before they came through. Perfectly possible I reckon.
