Anyone else have a very small dd?

My dd1 is very short and the height of my average sized 4 year old. She has size 9 feet and wears age 4 clothes. Despite being a good weight at birth - 8lb 4oz - she has always been shorter than her peers.
She's now at an age when it's becoming more apparent that she's tiny and not really growing much.

I've decided to take her to the gp's next week just to put mind at rest really. Was just wondering if anyone else's dc's have been small and grown or been diagnosed with growth disorders etc?
I don't think it's hereditary as I'm 5ft 6" and DP is 5ft 10".

Is she following a line in the growth chart?
Both my DDs are tiny but they were born small and followed just below the 0.4th centile line throughout. If your DD was over 8lb at birth and in proportion then presumably her growth has not followed the expected curve. if the Nurse hasn't picked it up already I'd definitely raise it with the GP just in case.

My sister has a very small ds. Neither she or her husband are small and her older children are average height. She had great trouble getting him a school uniform to start school and his hand me down clothes quickly fit my ds who is 7 years younger but he's really sporty, healthy and eats like a horse. Strangely enough I noticed recently how much he had shot up and I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up average height. It's always worth checking it out though.
