Childhood migraine

Does anyone have a child with childhood migraine?
We went to a paediatrician when our daughter was about 4 or 5 and we had various appointments. Rules out allergies as causes for her bad headaches. Considered migraine but as it is rare ended up concluding that she didn't have it and told us to continue to treat with ibuprofen and Paracetemol.
But it appears to be getting worse now. More severe episodes with vomiting.
Migraine runs in our family. I used to have the variant with sickness too.
Just wondered if anyone has any experience of this and what treatments were suggested.
We will be seeing a paediatrician again next month but experience of this would be helpful.
She is missing school quite often now Sad

yes ds, hes 11 now but started vomiting when he was 5, no link made to migraines- just told hes reacting to something?????
last summer when he was 10 - he woke up blind. admitted to hospital for a few days - tests done and neurologist thought migraine.(in our family too)
then in january he had blurred vision and became paralysed down his left side.spoke to neuro straight away who said definitely migraine .
we took him back to see him a week later and he has now got prevention medication as when he gets them their severe.

Shock they sound really severe. Traumatic for all of you. Is the preventative medication working well? What is it (if you don't mind my asking that is)

My dd 12 takes beta blockers as she gets headache all the time and the severity got worse about two months ago,
Family history on both sides.
