Teething rash

Hi

I think my daughter has teething rash. It's a red rash chin and cheeks. It doesn't bother her by day but becomes more angry after her bath and this evening it has really been upsetting her - and every time I pick her up to comfort her, she rubs her face on my shoulder, presumably to scratch the rash. What can I do to help her? And is this something I should go to the GP to sort ultimately? I'd be interested in others' experiences and wisdom.

Thanks so much in advance!

I've not seen a teething rash before. The rashes I've seen on babies faces have either been because their faces were being cleaned with baby wipes and they were reacting or with a food allergy.

We put Vaseline with Aloe Vera on DS (18 months) chin, cheeks and top lip every evening after the bath to help with this especially when he's teething. It seems to really help and the rash has only tended to appear when we've forgotten for a couple of nights in a row.
