Yet another reflux thread

I know, I know, there are loads but help me out please!

My son is 6.5 months. He had quite bad reflux since about 6 weeks old. He was until 4 months EBF and on ranitidine which really helped him as he was in pain from the acid coming up. He was still being sick ALL THE TIME, hours after feeds, regardless of what we did. We accepted it as the ranitidine meant he wasn't in pain so that was something.

He's been FF (a thick comfort formula) since 4.5 months following diagnosis of tongue tie, and that really helped, he was sick far less on this. We took him of ranitidine and he seemed fine. Sickness and reflux a laundry problem but not causing him pain.

Everyone said it would improve when we weaned him, so we rode it out to 6 months.

We have been weaning him for about 3 weeks now, mixture of baby led and purée. He cannot keep any of it down :( it comes back up quite soon after he's eaten. Mixture of food, milk and watery acid.

He is also a lot more active now, loves jumping in the jumperoo and he loves to roll from his back to his tummy, he rolls almost constantly. He also loves to sit and is mostly sitting unsupported. The problem is that all of these things make him even more sick!!! Jumping, understandable really. But vomiting when he's on his tummy is frustrating as I can't leave him anywhere. He'll roll over, vomit and then face plant within minutes. He ends up with a face covered in sick. Same with sitting. It seems the pressure on his tummy brings back the food and milk back up.

I spend my whole day covered in sick, cleaning him or not letting him do the things he wants to do, because he just keeps vomiting!!

This morning since 7:30 I've got through 3 muslins alreadybn

Is this usual? Anyone else experience this? When oh when will it get better? I feel sad that he can't do extended periods of tummy time or other things to add variety into his day Sad
