Sorry for the long post but I need to explain so you can get the picture.
Yesterday early evening my 5 month old woke up, he felt a little hot (checked temp and was slightly over norm)
He then looked like he was choking, at first I thought maybe his spit went down the wrong way.
But it soon became clear that he was having a fit!
His arms were jerking along with his head,he was foaming at the mouth.
Now this fit was coming and going in waves Iyswim?
I've never seen anyone having a fit before let alone my baby.
Hubby took him of me as I was hysterical, it took ages to get through to 111 (should of phoned 999 but at the time wasn't thinking straight).
So ambulance was called and went to hospital.
He was fitting between 5-10 mins (definitely know it was more then 5 as hubby was preparing dinner and when I went into the kitchen to show him he was putting something in the microwave) before he took baby of me.
Hospital have said he is to young for febrile convolution, and he didn't have a temp (was taking temp about 5 times while up there)
They said could be a one of or could have more.
I could take him home (after they showed me what to do if happened again)one min they wanted him to stay in next min it was up to me.
We don't live far from the hospital,so as they felt baby wasnt under no immediate threat I took him home.
I'm really worried as yes it could be a one of but why would this just happen?
So anyone with any experience of this would be gratefully received.
