Hi, my daughter is going to be 9 in April & still has most of her baby teeth which is worrying. She has lost the two front ones & two at the bottom.HOwever she has two teeth growing under her tongue behind the milk teeth Our dentist has monitored them but he feels that two at the bottom have to be removed to make room as he feels they wont fall out.
He sent us a referral to a clinic which I phoned yesterday the lady explained that she would have laughing gas & once relaxed injections when I asked how long it would take she said usually 15 mins depending how co operative the patient is in front of her.. I'm so scared I had a bad experience as a child with gas & all I remember is a black mask being forced on my face .. Has anybodys children had this procedure were they ok?

My 6 year old had a back top tooth extracted last year and coped incredibly well. She didn't have gas, just anaesthetic injections. She said they stung a bit when administered and she stopped the dentist to tell him it was hurting her so he gave her some more, but the tooth was out with one swift tug. 15mins max. I felt so guilty but she was a real trooper. Don't panic, your dd will see how worried you are and it could stress her. It's difficult but be calm. It will be fine and so will she.
