How are they today? Has your dd caught it?

Greengardenpixie · 06/03/2015 20:04

She surprisingly had the highest temp and it has left her and she no longer feels unwell. My youngest dd seemed to feel better and just threw up about 10 minutes ago. My poor ds is the worst hit. He couldnt keep a thin down, not even medicine but is now able to drink water thank god! It has been the worst ever!!!! Ive had sickness bugs in the house but this has been the pits. It also doesnt seem to have an order. May come with temp first then sickness then the runs..or temp goes then sickness!! My washing is ridiculous!!! esp towels. Thanks for asking :)

Could be rotavirus? That's a pretty virulent and longer-lasting sickness bug that we caught last year. Good luck with all the washing!

Greengardenpixie · 06/03/2015 20:28

Thanks! It just seems to keep coming back!!! Kids have been off all week. First with just a sore stomach and Thurs/frid with sickness and the runs. Will google rotavirus :)

All 3 of mine. And dh Hmm
So much washing
And the dog has fleas!

If it's just the dc, it's most likely rotavirus. Most common cause of gastroenteritis in children. Hangs around longer than things like norovirus and you do often see them seem to get better and then be sick again.

You have my sympathies. DD had it over half term and the washing machine is still not talking to me.

FFSletmechangemyname · 07/03/2015 07:23

Yes I have DS who is 3 gone down with it last night and he can't keep anything down poor little thing.

Washing piling up already.

Well my ds seems better. Has had a bit of toast and is keeping things down. Now my dd has it worse [ the youngest] She has not been sick again but she has a temperature of 38 now ggrrrr!!! So glad im not alone- although i dont wish this on anyone!!

Pixie, DS didn't have a temp until this afternoon, he's stopped being sick and has kept a biscuit and some juice down so far but the temp has now come on, I'm thinking it's likely the same as your DCs have.

I am praying to a god I don't believe in that no one else gets it but not holding out much hope of that.

All bedding washed and on the line, towels drying and have bleached toilets etc. Please don't let this spread.

Hope your DCs are better soon.

Thanks ffsletmechangemyname

Well my youngest dd was sick again. My ds seems better. Made some veg soup and he scoffed it. My dd still hasnt had it but im like you, thinking she is bound to get it Monday when we are all at work!!! That will just be great and totally inconvenient!

Pixie - how are your children today ? DS still has this, he was sick up until Sunday night and then fine yesterday until the evening when he got a very bad bottom.

We are off today, I am bleaching everything Grin and still hoping it doesn't spread.
