Has anybody tried this to stop coughing ?! Does it work ?

Yes, rub it in the soles, and put some socks on.

Humidifier is best though.

It's an urban myth with no scientific back up. Can't say I don't do it though, will try anything for a coughing child.

I was a complete sceptic, but after several nights of sleep deprivation due to DD's cough, I rubbed it onto her feet (whilst muttering "this will never work") and it worked. I have replicated it several times too
