Teeth - should I be worried?

Hi all,
Was looking at my daughters teeth tonight, she is 3, and I noticed a small discoloured area at the top of her canine tooth. It looks whiter with a light yellow area. Is this tooth decay? If so should I get to a dentist asap? She doesn't eat badly at all and only drinks water/milk so I am really worried.
Thanks

a white spot certainly can be early tooth decay. well done for spotting it. Make sure you brush her teeth really well with a fluoride toothpaste. I would get her to a dentist asap as if she has one early spot of tooth decay there may be others. If you catch them at the "white spot" stage they are reversible, but you need professional help to do this.
