Ds3 is just two, he fell from a wall about 10 days ago while he was with my Mum. He fell on his side, from about 3 feet up, then rolled back onto the back of his head - Mum called me to come out in the car as she was worried about him having hit his head, but when she said it wasn't the first point of impact I wasn't so concerned.
Anyway the day after I saw he had a bruise (fairly small one) under his arm, on his side - and it was like a little hard, bony feeling lump as well. Probably it felt about the size of a pea, or smaller - but as though it were a tip of something?
The bruise has dissipated but I am worried in case he managed to fracture a rib. I took him to the GP last week as he had a cough, and mentioned the lump and the GP felt it and said 'he doesn't seem bothered by me touching it, it's probably fine' but ds doesn't like me to touch it.
He doesn't seem otherwise distressed. I'm just worrying about it and not sure what else could cause a hard bony feeling lump in that area. It's still there now. It doesn't stick out visibly but I can feel it.
By the way I don't know how exactly he fell, or whether this injury is even likely to have been as severe as that given he had a thick coat on etc.
Any thoughts welcome.
