Hi, am sure this has been asked many times but is it common for chicken pox to start with red spots which aren't blistered? My 9yoDS has a temp of 39, headache and is really tired (feel asleep at 5pm). I've noticed red spots over his body but not blistered does this come later? I know time will tell it in case it is cp I'm trying to plan ahead for time off work!

Hi op. My dc both came out in red spots and it took a couple of days for them to become fluid filled. At first they were just red spots.

Thank you! Sounds like I should put contingency plans in place!
