DDs bits

Ok DD has a heavy cold, also complaining of ear pain (she used to be prone to ear infections). Today she said her bottom hurt and when I went to look I noticed very thick creamy white stuff around the front of her vulva, right where she pees from. Is this something to worry about you think?! Have cleaned it and applied metanium for now...

Thrush? That often comes with a creamy white discharge. If she's generally unwell she may be more prone to it as her immune system is busy fighting off other things.

Wouldn't that be itchy? She only complained of pain...

I've had thrush without any itchiness, it was sore rather than itchy. I would probably take her to the Dr's to take a look.

Thanks guys, trying to get through to docs on impossibly inefficient phone line...

Ear infection and protein in urine (waiting to hear back if def a UTI). Advised to apply canesten in case it is thrush especially as antibiotics will only make it worse if it is (she couldn't see because of the blooming metanium i had put on before thinking what it might be)
