Nits! How do you get rid of them?

I have delousedmy three year old's hair with tea tree oil and conditioner and a nit comb. He is free from the hoppy fuckers but his hair is full of the eggs. How do I get rid of them? I have been cutting single hairs from his head but he is getting very tired of me doing this.

Any helpful suggestions appreciated!

Do they still recommend Listerine?
That used to be the thing to use, soak the buggers in it

Hedrun once

The live lice are all gone, but I can still see the eggs. They are stuck fast to his hair and will surely hatch out soon.

I am itching from head to foot just typing this!

Buy a nitty gritty comb and coat your child's head in conditioner, then comb, comb, comb! Repeat in two days time, then in three days time. Combing is the best treatment! Very boring though.

Oh and repeat in one week's time too.

Conditioner and a nitty gritty comb

I've read cider vinegar works? Not actually got round to trying it. We have been spared the feckers for a while now!

The nitty gritty comb is fab, it saved my sanity!

QuickQuickSloe · 22/02/2015 16:33

Poor soul has been combed to within an inch of his life!

He is finally free from cradle cap but there are still eggs stuck to his hair. Bloody things, I am just going to cut them out.

I easily picked eggs out with my finger nails, not possible??

Boys are great, shave the hair with a No. 3 & remove eggs. I completely deloused a very very lousy 4yo in about 45 minutes once.
