Can anyone tell me their experiences of trying to get young children to use inhalers? Good or bad?

We have a spacer which makes it easier.

Having a drink to hand also helps because she doesn't like the taste of the brown one.

We got DS to play with the spacer and we did it on us first. We also count together.

DS has been on inhalers since 4 months old. Letting him play with the spacer and making it into a game has always helped

Yes, the spacer is invaluable. When very small we used to get teddy to go through the procedure (counting, advising deep breaths) first.

We have the blue puffer and the teddy bear spacer. First GP gave one that looked like a rugby ball.
We do the counting thing too and DT1 nods when he is ready to press the puffer.
