ectopic heartbeats in a 4.8 year old.

Ds was heard to have ectopic heartbeats today in his paed checkup, the whole check up was pretty chaotic, and I came away feeling these needed further investigation - especially as ds has a small open duct in his heart.

Does anyone have any experience?

My dd has ventricular ectopics (she has complex heart disease and some myocardial scarring), in her case they don't seem to be overly concerned as they don't increase when she exercises but she is reviewed on a very regular basis from a cardiac pov.

I believe they are quite common in the general public.

Does dd have any cardiac reviews? Maybe give them a call if it's a new thing?

Had a call from paed on Friday, saying that and ECG will be arranged asap, as with ds's genetic condition it should be looked at.
