Difficulty passing large stools

This doesn't happen every day but recently my DD (15 months) seems to have very large stools which she is having awful trouble passing and they often get stuck, so I have had to help her quite a few times as she is getting very distressed and her bum is sore / bleeding.

She usually has 1-2 bowel movements every day and stools look a normal colour etc. but are just extremely large sometimes - I'm not sure if this is a form of constipation or not, as I always thought that meant small, blackish, dry stools? It happened yesterday and again today so she isn't going a long time between.

I think she eats a pretty good diet but I'm wondering if she is lacking in something? she drinks water and cow's milk - I wouldn't say massive amounts of water maybe 1-1.5 sippy cups a day but always has it available plus about 10-12oz milk per day.

Does anyone have any idea's what to do about this?
