Dd horrible cough

My dd is getting a horrible cough at night time today's the first day she is coughing after she has woke up.

She has no runny nose or cold just this horrible cough waking her up 3 or 4 times a night leaving her so tired the next day.

Any idea what could be causing it? I would take her doctors but they just say it's viral and send me out the door plus she is ok in her self no temp or anything just this annoying cough

You could try an antihistamine?

Coughing at night can be a sign of asthma

Iv got some of that will try it tonight see if it helps thanks xx
