Dd 3 has "otitis externa" apparently, a fungal type ear infection. No pain , no temperature. But omg the smell is SO bad. GP prescribed some antibiotic spray on Monday, but she is still rank. Literally you can smell her across the room, bad bad cheesy "infection smell".
I'm not sure this spray is doing anything at all .
I don't want to put cotton wool in her ear but the discharge is sticky and gets in her hair etc. I can't get down in words how badly she smells. My poor poor baby.
Any one got any advice or experience, I have no idea where she's got this from, googling seems to suggest swimming pools but she's not been swimming since summer last year.
Urgh thanks

My dd had this and the smell is awful, after 3 lots of antibiotic medicine which did nothing & 2 swabs the gp finally gave drops which cleared it up in no time. See if the gp will give them hopefully they will work!
