DD3 (2.5 years old) after taking penicillin which seemed to get rid of her ear infection - but then she developed some other 'unknown' infection and told to give her erythromycin. Anyway, first done - she heaved in the night and threw up bile. she's kind of did ok yesterday but today she's started to be sick again. I know she was sick this morning, this evening she's been sick and before giving her her 4th dose, she's been throwing up everywhere. Should I give her another dose? She's shattered and wants to go to bed - I can't keep giving her baths all night or changing her sheets for that matter. I know this is a common problem, but agh....

Poor mite. Erythromycin makes me sick too. Can the doc give her a slow release version?

Erythromycin is a beast and loads of people get sick on it...go back and get it changed to another antibiotic.

DSis used to do the same on Erythromicin.
DS did it on flucloxacilin, but at that point he'd been on ABs for 4 weeks and I think his little (17 months old) tummy was shot to pieces.

Many people react to different ABs. There is usually an alternative.
