Any ideas what this could be?

I am probably jumping the gun a bit, but after over 2 years of wondering what this is and thinking I was going to get an answer, I'm a bit stumped.
DD occasionally vomits at night. At the moment, it is about once a week and always at night. When we were initially referred to a Gastro Interologist, he put it down to constipation and for the past 2 and a half years she was treated for this. About a year ago I went back to the GP as the vomiting continued despite the medicine. She would vomit from early morning till about 9 or 10am, at which point there would be nothing but bile coming up.
We recently moved to the US and it all seemed to get better so I stopped the medicine. She didn't have any for 5 months and then it started again. The Dr here again referred her to a GI who requested all sorts of tests.
We are still awaiting results from a scan to check that it isn't a problem with her bladder, gall bladder or kidneys, but every thing else came back clear.
This includes blood, urine and stool samples checking for things like food allergies, celiac disease and UTIs; a barium xray to check there are no blockages or issues with her digestive tract, stomach and intestines.
I know we are still waiting for the scans but I think they will also come back clear given she is so healthy and active.
Which leaves me wondering what is going on? I will ask the dr this after the tests are complete but in the mean time, I am at a loss as to what it could be. Any ideas?
