Hi looking for some advice please. My 3yr old daughter has got threadworms. I discovered them on Fri eve (30th Jan) gave her vermox med on the sat morn (as well as rest of family) but she still has live worms in her poo today ( 2 Feb) How long does the med take to kill the worms or should I take her back to docs?

Not sure, but I do know that you may need to take a 2nd dose at 2 weeks as the medicine does not always kill the eggs which take two wks to hatch.
I would keep changing bedsheets, towels and be very vigilent about washing hands and then re-dose again at 2 wks.

Thanks - have been very paranoid about washing everything she has come into contact with!! She did go to toilet before bed and the worms in her poo were not moving so I assume the med has started to work!! Have another dose to give everyone including myself in 2 weeks although noone else has any symptoms thankfully!! Fingers crossed its the end of the little horrors!!
