7 year old daughter afraid to go to the toilet on her own in school .

My 7 year old daughter wets herself almost everyday in school and doesn't tell her teacher. I have spoken to her teacher in she has given her a toilet buddy only problem is she often has different teachers and they know nothing about her buddy so she won't go on her own. I just don't know what to do it's been going on for quite some time and it's breaking my heart to know that she sits there in wet clothes . Anyone with a similar problem or anyway known to sort this please

Why doesn't she go (with a friend) at break/lunchtime?

What is she scared of?

Can she tell you why she doesn't want to go to the toilet? Does she forget or is she scared? I presume the problem is only at school and not at home? If she is wetting herself almost every day, the problem must be more widespread than just having different teachers who don't know to send her - unless she has a constant supply of different teachers? I am surprised that she is sitting in wet clothes though (poor mite) as surely the teacher notices or smells something and unfortunately she is also getting to an age where the other children will start being nasty about it?

One of the other children was telling her about a film she watched about a girl that was a ghost and she had blood running down her mouth and told her she was in the toilet, have told her so many times it wasn't true and all she says is that my head knows this but her head doesnt. The problem is she won't tell the teacher now that's she's wet. She had tennis club yesterday and as always send her in to school with a change of clothes she said she was waiting for the other children to go so she could change but they wouldn't so she put her shorts over her wet pants and is now sore. I told her to go at break time when the others are going and it seems that the need a yellow band to go even at break times and she never gets one in time, am going to make another appointment to see her teacher on Thursday so I can sort it , she was suppose to have a buddy so don't know what happened there ,have said it to the teacher today again but it's not her normal teacher so we will see . My dd (7) is the same, she's always been scared to go to the loo at school and it escalated so she couldn't bear to be on her own ever. I bought her a brilliant book called what to do when you worry too much. We worked through it and yesterday she went to the loo at school on her own. I know it's early days but it feels very positive.

Hope it works for your daughter. Dd is still nervous about things but the book does seem to have helped
