Is this a stomach bug? It's very strange

DS has been off since Thursday morning, sent him in Thursday but kept him off Friday because he didn't seem right. Off his food, stressed, snapping at us etc.

Went visiting family over the weekend and DS seemed very out of sorts and stressed, he has autism and severe learning disabilities and health problems so we assumed first that he was stressed about being away from home.

Then he started saying 'mouth hurt' and fiddling with his teeth so we assumed because he's losing and growing some teeth that they were moving and causing him pain so that was causing the problems and kept him topped up with calpol and ibuprofen.

Then this morning he woke up and came into my room covered in sick and he had been sick a lot in his bed.

But he's been off since Thursday so if it was a stomach bug would he only be sick 4 days after starting to feel 'off'? No temperature, but he looks shattered.

Obviously kept him home today but I'm wondering if I should be concerned and go to the GP or just see how it all plays out? He's eaten some rice cakes and had some water.

If he's kept them down I would keep an eye and see how he goes. The nasty cough that went round our local schools over Christmas made some people sick.
Hope he feels better soon.

Thanks. He hasn't coughed though, but is very lethargic. No more sick after the first one.
