What is this spot on my sons knee?

I don't usually worry about spots on my children but I don't like the look of this one because of the red lines around it. Can someone reassure me it's okay please.

Needs a GP or practice nurse to look at it probably.

Glad you took him - cellulitis can be really painful. I had it once after an insect bite. Did they give him antibiotics?

He jas to take antibiotics four times a day. By the time we saw the GP he had a temp. Today he seems fine in himself and very happy to be off school!
