Episadias & Kellys procedure

Hi, was told yesterday after an exploratory operation that my ds will need to have a modified Kellys procedure as he has no bladder neck mechanism. I've been trying to find out what this is and what it involves, but cannot see anything on the internet, does anyone have a ds who has had this operation?

Hi, sorry you are going through this. How old is your ds? My ds has bladder exstrophy and episdadeous and had Kellys procedure at 16 months old. There is a great Facebook group for peole affected if you are interested. Take care. Happy to pm you when I'm not on my phone.
