I would like to share with you how I got my little son out of eczema and allergy. He was only 2 months old when doc prescribed him steroids and antibiotics for his eczema. I gave him but after short time the problem become much worse. My GP, dermatologist, homeopath no- one seems to have an answer. I refused to serve any more medications. He was also allergic to almost everything!!!!! He was scratching and had spots all over the body and mainly on his face. It was the worst time of my life!
Then I read 'Philosophy of Health' and I started to eliminate some food products but also, I understood that his liver was very weak. I needed to take care of it. and I did. I was cooking broths ( once he was able to eat it), I was giving him ginger drinks, quinoa porridge..... While I was breastfeeding - I kept the same diet.
My son was getting better and better every weak.
The main thing is to understand, that we can help our little ones. But we need to know what to do and have the willingness to do what it takes to succeed. I did. Many friends with similar problems are asking me for advices now. Also, my husband cured his hay fever and allergies!!! But just doing same things I did with the little one....
GOOD LUCK

Thanks Zing you KNOW it isn't your fault in any way. Hugs.

5madthings · 24/11/2014 14:42

Not prednisolone, that's a steroid I take that every few months to calm my skin down and it does help a bit. This was something like methroxate? It can affect other organs so I would need a blood test every two weeks. It's given to transplant and chrohns patients as well.

MyGhostIsFlummoxed · 24/11/2014 14:45

Is it just me who doesn't understand what the OP actually did to 'cure' her child?

FrauHelgaMissMarpleandaChuckle · 24/11/2014 14:47

She says in her first post :

So ginger drinks, broths, quinoa porridge .. no imported fruit and veg or anything too. Do they grow much quinoa in the UK?

Here info on immune suppresses and eczema it was methroxate. It can affect the liver and kidneys snd means I would be more at risk of getting certain dancers as well illnesses in general as it works by suppressing your immune system.

Btw op I eat well and have tried all sorts of diets, wheat free, dairy free just fresh fruit and veg, nothing processed, yards yada yada. I get some improvement but minimal as its mainly environmental and also stress and hormone related.

Honestly you are being really bloody offensive.

FrauHelgaMissMarpleandaChuckle · 24/11/2014 14:50

I have a mate who uses a really smelly cream for his eczema. Dunno what you call it, it's in a green tub and it costs a bomb - not prescription tho. Smell of it makes me want to hurl though !! I'll ask him what it is.

Just found it - pure potions. He does use other prescribed creams too though. And steroids. And he has a strong anti hist.

gingertreat · 24/11/2014 14:51

Frau,
I advise you to change your diet. Your child can be free from all these.
Tell me how old your child is, what is eating for breakfast/lunch/dinner/snack.
The food/meals you cook should be balanced so he can start improving his metabolism/ than his liver. This is a process. Same time the child can not eat sugar, cold food. Best for him are home made meals with seasonal vegetable, meat. No chicken allowed.

I typed a really long post. but one word'll do (not the two I want to type)

NO.

NotEvenAnEnormouseStirred · 24/11/2014 14:54

Why no chicken? Does that have magical ezcema producing qualities

FrauHelgaMissMarpleandaChuckle · 24/11/2014 14:55

Where do they grow quinoa in the UK?

NotEvenAnEnormouseStirred · 24/11/2014 14:55

zing life is unfair Flowers. Much love to you.

FrauHelgaMissMarpleandaChuckle · 24/11/2014 14:55

What happens when food gets warm? How on earth are people in hot countries able to manage?

FrauHelgaMissMarpleandaChuckle · 24/11/2014 14:57

Oh Sorry - no cold food. Woops. Well that's going to make the fridge redundant then and we will all die of food poisoning.

NotEvenAnEnormouseStirred · 24/11/2014 14:59

frau I love the no.

gingertreat · 24/11/2014 15:03

By cold food I meant - cold in its nature. That is why chicken (has cold nature) is not advisable, and many other food product.
If you go to hot countries - the women there always cook their lunches/dinner. This is what is warm.

OP posts:
FrauHelgaMissMarpleandaChuckle · 24/11/2014 15:04

Cold in it's nature?

What exactly do you mean by that?

VoyagesOfAStarship · 24/11/2014 15:04

Oh it gets better. Does a woman have to do the cooking in order for it to work?

FrauHelgaMissMarpleandaChuckle · 24/11/2014 15:05

So no one in a hot country ever eats a salad?

RIIIIIIIIGHT

NotEvenAnEnormouseStirred · 24/11/2014 15:06

You get more and more loopy ginger.

You should not be advising people over the internet to change their children's diet.

There are paediatricians, dermatologists and dieticians for that. You know, people aware of the child's medical history and with experience and the benefit of knowledge in the field and scientific, verifiable research.

NickAngel · 24/11/2014 15:06

WTF?!

VoyagesOfAStarship · 24/11/2014 15:08

Or picks an avocado/mango/banana off a tree and eats it?

Yes they do. I've seen them at it in fact.

gingertreat · 24/11/2014 15:09

Different food products have different nature - cold, hot, neutral.
One of the reason why people in Western countries are getting all these chronic problems is excess of overcooling our body with cold foods.
This is process when we overcool our internal system. Then it starts showing its weakness - ie. allergies. If you read - 50 or 100 years ago, people were only eating seasonal foods (no supermarkets ) - and they did not know even what allergy was.

NotEvenAnEnormouseStirred · 24/11/2014 15:10

I want to know more about hot and cold in nature. Is this like the balancing of the humours thing from the middle ages?

NotEvenAnEnormouseStirred · 24/11/2014 15:11

50-100 years the life expectancy was lower.
