I would like to share with you how I got my little son out of eczema and allergy. He was only 2 months old when doc prescribed him steroids and antibiotics for his eczema. I gave him but after short time the problem become much worse. My GP, dermatologist, homeopath no- one seems to have an answer. I refused to serve any more medications. He was also allergic to almost everything!!!!! He was scratching and had spots all over the body and mainly on his face. It was the worst time of my life!
Then I read 'Philosophy of Health' and I started to eliminate some food products but also, I understood that his liver was very weak. I needed to take care of it. and I did. I was cooking broths ( once he was able to eat it), I was giving him ginger drinks, quinoa porridge..... While I was breastfeeding - I kept the same diet.
My son was getting better and better every weak.
The main thing is to understand, that we can help our little ones. But we need to know what to do and have the willingness to do what it takes to succeed. I did. Many friends with similar problems are asking me for advices now. Also, my husband cured his hay fever and allergies!!! But just doing same things I did with the little one....
GOOD LUCK

OP, I'm interested to hear what exactly the specific diet you used that you think helped cure your LO, and also for how long.

My LO has multiple allergies and I would be willing to try anything within reason.

I'm not sure that article really tells you anything that alot of people don't already know.

It's nothing

Seasonal food? Whose seasons? Given so much is imported does it have to be uk seasons? Can you eat New Zealand apples in spring as that is when they are in season there or only eat British apples in autumn? If so, how does the apple change during day's flight compared to a British Apple spending a month in store? Or is all foreign food intrinsically bad for you (and your weak liver)? Are artificial seasons (eg green houses) allowed?

This kind of stuff really pisses me off. I have ezcema and an egg allergy.

It's not the fucking herbal shit, or a special diet or drinks or whatever that 'cured' mine. It was steroids, a decent moisturiser and a course of antibiotics when it got infected. And managing stress, which makes mine flare up.

How do you know it wasn't the prescribed medicines that helped your dc?

I can't cut and paste but I had a "look inside"

Utter drivel. Complete and utter drivel.

If it actually worked why wouldn't it be prescribed on the nhs?

16.99 is a hell of alot cheaper than.prescription milk and inhalers and the many creams I've tried for Dds eczema

FrauHelgaMissMarpleandaChuckle · 24/11/2014 13:31

Mine was prescribed too, thankfully, but I remember asking at the time what it was and being shocked how expensive it was if I'd had to buy it.

The products I use for Dds eczema are pretty expensive. I. might just buy the book.

It is your choice. I can tell you - there is no miracle herbs or anything like this! My husband who suffered for 4 years horrible hay fever and allergies - he has no problem for the last 3 years. Seasonal food is what is growing in our climatic zone. If we import fruits or veg. from other countries like Australia, or US ect... they are preserved and store for long time........ Also, our climate in UK has its own seasons for different fruits and veg. As nature intended - we should therefore eat them when goods are in seasons. They will be of much more benefit to us in terms of their properties, nutrients and also sweeter ect...
There is nothing but common sense what I want to share with you.

After a cursory glance of a few journals, the only thing I can find ginger being good for is nausea. Everything else it apparently works on is either in vitro or in lab animals.

You do know human beings have been trading for thousands and thousands of years?

What about fruit and veg preserved and stored in this country? Like, say, apples or pears?

If it's nothing but common sense that you want to share with us, how about you share a bit more and save Giles the £16.99?

Oh thanks op, common sense is all that's needed to cure ezcema, hay fever, allergies etc.

Well thank fuck you're here.

Grin not

seriously I am.all for trying all ways to help. In fact prescription stuff did fuck all for Dds eczema I now have to pay for the stuff I use. and if happily give plant extracts or herbs or sourcing things if it was possible both financially and physically to do so.

I also don't think placebos do any harm. alongside medication as yes believing in things can help a person's mental state and possibly improve the recovery.

but cashing in on a load of nonsense to claim you can cure fatal conditions using common sense and fruit sourced locally is morally wrong at best and dangerous at worst.

I also used to suffer from terrible hay fever, but I haven't had any problems for the last few years. And yet I have done nothing to change my diet; I just grew out of it.

Eating fresh seasonal food is a good idea, sure, but thinking it will see off all (or even the majority of) diagnosed allergies is a bunch of hooey.

What utter bollocks, at 35 yrs old I have tried all the diets etc for my eczema but am still allergic to dust mites, anything furry, grass and Tree pollen etc and my eczema is affected by my hormones as well so gets worse when preg or my period is due, not much I cam do about that.

Do sod off with your advertising.

I'm off into the garden to do a little rain dance as I heard that also cures all known allergies and illness

What pisses me off is that I would love to join a support thread on here for adult eczema. Somewhere to share experiences of what works (and how to get GP to prescribe it). But it would be full of knobheads trying to sell books, woo remedies and inappropriate restriction diets.
