Dehumidifier/Humidifier

Our daughter who suffers with a bad chest, recurrent pneumonia and hospital admissions has started coughing and sounding croaky since this cold weather arrived :( someone mentioned trying either a dehumidifier or humidifier but was really unsure which one would be best or where to even start. We thought it would be with a try to see if it makes any difference or stops her song admitted through out winter.

We used a cold vapour humidifier for our DDs when they got bad coughs/chest infections when younger. The idea is the vapour soothes the airways and reduces coughing etc so you def don't want a dehumidifier (usually used for fixing damp rooms). Who knows if they helped but it felt like you were doing something!
