Spots around mouth

My 28 month old went to bed at 8 pm last night and is still sleeping and it's nearly noon! She is ill just now, had to be taken home from nursery with a temperature of 39.3oc. She now seems to have spots round her mouth. Am thinking of hand, foot and mouth but can't believe she is still asleep. Does this virus knock kids for 6? Could be something else I suppose.

How is your dd today? My 18mth ds has had a rash/red spots around his.mouth for nearly two weeks. nursery thought hfam so emergency visit at the docs and its not.

I think that the spots are more in the mouth than around from what I've read.

Does she have a cold? DS gets spots around his mouth and nose when he is run down and snotty, he tends to dribble in his sleep too which makes it worse.
