Teething symptoms?

DS is almost 14 months and he has at least one of his first molars coming through.

He is chewing his fingers and grinding his teeth (which I didn't realise was a teething symptom til I read it on another thread today!). He also has a snuffly nose and a cough, which I think has come straight after a cold - hard to say since he picks them up so regularly at nursery Hmm

My main concern though is his rear end. He's always been the sort of child who gets the runs when he's ill or teething. He's now had a sloppy bum on and off for over a week and it's getting really wearing (for us both!). On Thursday and first thing yesterday it looked like all was back to normal, but since then he's had 4 or 5 really runny, smelly, mucousy poos, two of which were quite liquid, more like proper diarrhoea. Oddly though, he isn't getting nappy rash, which he's always had when teething before. If it wasn't for the day of normal pooping I'd think he might have a bug, but all his other symptoms point to teething. He seems fine in himself, was off his food a little earlier in the week but seems OK now. Anyone else experienced this? He's my PFB so I'm clueless!
