DD persistent nausea

I'm totally new to Mumsnet... worried about my daughter (8) as she's been complaining of feeling sick for nearly two weeks - she hasn't actually been sick but I just wondered if it could be a virus or if anyone else has as this :-(

Hey there, nausea is one of those non-specific symptoms like a headache that could be caused by any number things (so finding someone else with it doesn't mean your DD has the same thing), but is more than likely to be nothing to worry about in the short term. Maybe it's a mild viral gastroenteritis or something, and will just disappear by itself.

As it's just not clearing up I'd say the only thing to do is take her to see the GP (unless it starts getting better), ideally having kept an eye on her to see if there are any things that make it worse/better.

Oh, and I guess nausea could also be a symptom of anxiety; is school etc ok at the moment?
