Hand foot and mouth

Dd woke this morning with spots around her mouth and a very very sore bottom, Doctors confirmed hand foot and mouth

Since her appt this morning she has a lot more spots, well more a rash up her legs, spots on the back of her knees

She seems to be in pain, I've given calpol / nurofen but she isn't too good at taking meds, tried to get as much in her as I could but she actually ended up being sick.

She has woken 7 times already crying, like she is uncomfortable or in pain but I don't know how to relieve the pain for her?

Any advise, the late night chemist is open until 11pm so I can pop out and get her something if needed

Bump. It's been a long night Sad

She's got up this morning and won't bare and weight on her feet, they are obviously hurting her

I've put calpol in warm milk, which she's taken

Poor thing Hmm

How old is she? When DS2 had it I gave him regular pain relief. He also went off his food because of the spots in his mouth. So I gave him lots of really easy to swallow food.

She is 22mo

I've just been to the chemist and they've given me camomile lotion which they said should help

My DS had this a few years ago but I don't remember him being in quite as much pain

DS has had this this week too. It's awful! He is getting better now but ate literally no solid food for 5 days

How's your dd now?
