Snoring!

I have DD 4 who for the fast 2 years has snored, 18 months ago I took her to the doctors about it and they said that she had rather small nasal passages, excessive tissue at the top of her nose and a lot of mucus. Therefore she was prescribed with a saline spray, and steroid drops to clear out her nose and reduce the mucus and tissue, she was also given a allergy medicine in case it was allergies aggravating her nose (the Dr reckoned it could be hay fever and dust allergies)

We carried on this till September, with regular reviews however the snoring never completely stopped, it wasn't as much but it never completely stopped her nose/throat still made this clicky sound and when sleeping she would still sound like she had a stuffy nose even though the doctor had said that the mucus and tissue had cleared a lot. So September review came and the doctor decided to take her off all the medicine as hay fever season was over and the mucus had cleared.

But she's still snoring and it's quite loud, it disturbs her and she is now in school and having to be up early and I feel so sorry for her when she gets such a disrupted sleep then has to go off to school, I currently also have to share a room with her so I'm also kept awake.

Wow sorry it's so long, and my point is... what can I do?!
literally I will try anything! This has been going on for 18 months and it's driving both me and DD insane now. Confused

Thanks for reading!

You need to go back to GP and request ENT ref, it is possibly tonsil or adenoid related. Does she ever pause between snores, as if she is holding her breath?

Sounds similar to my dd who it turned out had sleep apnea and needed her tonsils and adenoids removed age 4yo.
