Could tiredness cause physical symptoms?

For years my ds (aged 7) has occasionally suffered with headaches, fatigue, lack of appetite and sometimes vomiting, which we always put down to too much screen time when overly tired and hungry.

It seemed to be under control by limiting screen time and giving snacks.

Since starting back at school, these episodes are rapidly increasing, it's been every day this week - mild symptoms - without screens at all.

He's had a full eye test and had a GP check up but nothing has come of it - eyes fine, GP useless.

I think he's over tired but he cannot sleep, he seems to be so hyped up about life in general. He's a lovely laid-back boy but can't seem to switch his brain off. I'm starting to doubt myself, could it actually be tiredness or something more?

I'm taking him back to the GP but unsure how to convince them he needs help - no idea what!

I haven't got any advice other than to just keep on and on at your GP untill something is done, what ever the reason that's not a great way to live.
Hopefully some one else will be along with some advice in a bit.

Maybe some hypnotherapy cds? Never really believed much in that sort of thing but my grandmother gave me one to help pass my driving test Hmm needless to say it didn't help with my driving but I did sleep well. (didn't listen while driving of course!) I believe you can get ones designed for children.

Thanks, I'll look into that. Smile

How about swimming or a yoga class? Something to help him relax and switch off.

He does swimming which also involves a long walk after school, makes no difference.

Have just found some CDs on Amazon with brilliant reviews, may have to try that.
