My six and a half year old daughter has not lost any of her teeth, but six months ago two adult teeth have grown behind her baby teeth. What I want to know is should I just wait for her baby teeth to fall out or ask the dentist to extract her two baby teeth so that her adult teeth can move forward.

Any advise appreciated.

The dentist won't remove them, they just need to be left, the baby teeth will fall out on their own eventually. All of DS1's front teeth came through this way.

I had my top 4 front teeth removed when I was 12 because of this. I kept getting food stuck between them and they started to really bother me and my fragile 12 year old self esteem!
I had a private dentist though if that makes a difference, and had to put up with it from when my teeth came in when i was 6-7 years old.
