Healan Tape

My teen has keloid scars on his face as a result of chickenpox and was prescribed Healan steroid tape. Unfortunately, last night he adhered too large a piece of the tape on his face over one of the scars and has woken up with a large patch of very pale skin. I can't find anything online to say if this will be permanent or not and we are really worried that not only will he have keloid scars on his face also a white square patch that looks really bad. :( Has anyone had a similar experience, and can you tell us whether or not he will be stuck with this white patch on his face forever more. Thank you!

Hi, I used Haelen tape on my keloid, and any bits that looked paler around the scar soon went back to normal - like a couple of days max.

That, kelocote gel, and then steroid injections into the scar really helped a lot

My teenage son is self-conscious enough without having to worry about keloids as well as white patches on his face!Thanks also for the advice on the kelocote gel and steroid injections, it's good to know that your scars were helped by them.
