In hospital with DD and could really do with some reassurance

DD (7) fell down the stairs at my parents house earlier and hit her head. She's been drowsy and vomiting so they've admitted her overnight for observation. They also did a CT scan which showed nothing relating to the fall but did show an 'incidental cyst' on her brain????? They have told me not to worry, that they are quite common in children and that usually they grow out of them without ever knowing it's there. She hasn't been complaining of headaches or anything like that. They aren't whisking her off for more tests, they're just checking her every hour atm.

I guess I just want confirmation that they are telling the truth. I am not going to google. Anyone been told similar? Should I really not worry? It's been a horrible day.

Hope your dd is feeling better now ,I fractured my skull when I was 13 - my horse decided to roll on me ! There were no lasting effects .

Thankyou, she is definitely more like herself today. That's funny actually, we're in a hospital in the countryside away from home as we were visiting my parents. When the consultant (who was basically Clarissa Dickson-Wright) came round this morning she was giving us a list of all the activities DD is banned from for a while, and finished with 'and of course she mustn't ride her horse for at least a month'. We did point out that that wasn't an issue!
