DS 12 Injection

My 12 year old was taken to the doctors today for an injection which had to be administered into either his left or right thigh muscle, but when the time came, the doctor told me that that he couldn't be injected because his thighs had too much fat on them meaning that the needle couldn't reach his muscle. We left without him being injected and were told that we would be contacted soon. Does anyone know what will happen or any other way to get him injectected ?

If you were at your GP's, call the surgery and request a call back from the doctor to discuss the next step.

If you were at a hospital clinic, call the consultant (you'll almost certainly end up speaking to the secretary) and ask for the consultant to contact you asap.

In theory they should be contacting you to re-arrange the procedure, in practice it's probably better for you to follow up.
