Broken nose and school

My 8 year old has almost certainly broken his nose while playing football.

We took him to A&E and he got a wound glued. They could not say if it is broken but said to take him to ENT when the swelling goes down if we were worried.

He stayed off school today. He is much better in himself but his nose is still very swollen and bruised. It looks very delicate and is clearly sore to touch.

Would you continue to keep him off til the swelling goes down?

Hi, my 6 yr old fell over and landed right on his nose last year. Looked terrible. Minor injuries referred us to the ENT and an appointment came through for 10 days later once the swelling had gone.
We sent him to school but his did not do PE/sports and was told to be super careful.
ENT checked his nose and confirmed not broken thanks goodness.
Hope his is ok too!

Thanks, we kept him off as he has been out of sorts. Back tomorrow. Not sure whether broken. We have to ring ENT for appointment.

Is he best advised to refrain from football etc til we know?
