21mo constipation after operation

DS2 had his tonsils and adenoids out yesterday. All went well and we're now home Smile

But he's constipated. He's really straining but nothing's happening. He was given morphine yesterday and I'm not sure if it's that that's caused it or not.

I've got some lactulose but it has no expiry date on it. And I'm not sure whether to do anything anyway or whether it'll sort itself out.

Any ideas?

And....he's just done a poo! Just after I spoke to the dr. TypicalGrin
