5 year old swallowed a 10p coin

Hi my 5 year old swallowed a 10p coin 6 weeks ago and still no sign of it took him to hospital number of times now and they just keep telling me to wait!!! It's stressing me knowing my little man as this coin inside Him :( any advice on what I should do next I'm sure it should have passed by now ;(

Are you absolutely sure it hasn't passed and you haven't seen it? Have hospital done an x-ray to see where it is?

I'm 100% it's not passed he had a xray done Friday which shows it still in stomach ;(

Huh. What do the doctors say? I'm not a medic, but I would guess the alternative to waiting for it to pass is extremely invasive surgery, so you would really want to wait as long as possible.

Doctors are going mad as it's causing him tummy pains and he can't open his bowels that well since he swallowed it so now on 4 packets of movicol aday and 20ml of senna ;( it's the hospital that keeps telling us to wait...like the doctor said if it's in stomach to long it can cause problems but the hospital don't seem to care it's been a nightmare...
