Incontinence in a 3 year old?

Is this possible? My 3.5 year old girl has just started 'leaking'. She wets her knickers 5 times a day even though she's been fully potty trained for 8 months day and night. She doesn't do a whole wee, just a little. And not because she doesn't reach the loo in time, just ad hoc. It just started one day and has been going for a week now. Reminds me of stress incontinence. Anyone else had this? Any advice? She keeps getting sore from keeping wet knickers on at nursery where they can't monitor her constantly like I can at home.

Has she been tested for a urine infection?

No but she has been ill for the last few days with a temperature. The temp has gone now and she's 100% fit other than the leaks. Could that be it?

Might be worth getting it checked, and if its all clear they might be able to speak to you about your concerns.

I would definitely bring her along with a urine sample to the doc's as soon as you can. Even if she seems to improve I would still get her checked out.

My DS was plagued by UTI's a few years ago and it wasn't always easy to spot he wasn't well but his urine samples told another story.

I hope she gets better soon.

My 2.10 dd recently went from dry to wetting herself repeatedly.

It was a urine infection. She's been on antibiotics for five days and has been completely accident free the last two days. No other symptoms either.
