I shouldn't be but I'm shocked. He was a late teether and only got his first one after 1 year old. Is this usual?

It's not very usual, but I think it's still within the range of normal. My nephew had his two front adult teeth showing through by 5 and a half. Now he's only just 6 and has lost two more baby teeth.

My nephew is tall for his age, don't know if that has anything to do with it, but certainly his jaw is large enough to accommodate the emerging adult teeth. Hope this helps. Guess the tooth fairy comes early sometimes. Ask doc if unsure. Grin

My DD1 is almost 6 and lost her 2 front bottom teeth a few months ago. I was shocked as well! She seems to he one of the youngest among her peers but not ridiculously so.

Tooth fairy?

My son got his first tooth at 16 months and so i thought he'd lose them later.....no...he was the first in his class to lose a tooth at 5 yrs 3 months.....so he only had that particular tooth for 3 yrs 11 months!
